Re: MTV announces Mobile Social Network

I heard about this a few weeks ago (one of our Investors told me) It is becoming clear that lots of people are wanting to get in to this space, with very little thought as to what it actually takes to enter it. This is not just about take a SN mobile, there are far more sophisticated challenges which I am guessing they have not thought about.

My team and I cannot attend the Miami event but will be at the San Fran and London events later in 2008 ( Jan is too early for us and we all have to focus on the launch, I wish we had the cash and resources as MTV, then we could) If when reviewing the text below there are any interested parties wanting to discuss a level of collaberation, then I would be delighted to hear from you.

My team have take 18 man years of developement, lots of cash and lots of long nights to do launch Next2friends.

Next2Friends launche the Beta version of our mobile technology driven social networking site on Chritmas Eve. The service will initially focus on 5 different but related offerings:

- Proximity Services
- Video Messaging
- Ask-a-Friend
- Live Video Streaming from any capable mobile device or webcam
- Online Video Editing

The Proximity Service is designed to automate the otherwise tedious task of online person to person network building by bridging the online ?virtual world? and the physical ?real world? thereby providing the potential for actual interaction. The service uses both Bluetooth and P2P WIFI enabled mobile devices to interact with a user?s online profile and record relative matches to other users they come into close proximity with (within 300 metres). At next log on , users are then presented with the profile matches they collected throughout the day. Businesses will also be able to use Proximity Services for demographic/ rules based advertising, allowing potential customers to search for them according to their real-time location. As well, Next2Friends? patent pending technology insures both anonymity and privacy via a highly secure implementation methodology and exclusive encryption algorithms.

Video Messaging allows users to record a video message from any mobile device and or standard webcam and send it to their friends or contacts. In its most basic form, it is an interactively media rich email service via the Next2Friends site.

Ask a Friend is a rich media opinion polling service that enables users to take images to be sent and received by their friends via their mobile devices or webcams to create an immediate, real-time opinion poll. Offered in both a private and public forum, users can limit engagement to an immediate group of friends or make it publicly available to receive responses timed for their needs.

The Live Video Streaming service enables users to create and broadcast live video from any mobile device and or webcam to multiple end users. Video will be streamed through the Next2Friends website where users can view events as they happen. Furthermore, if multiple users are at the same event and broadcast on the same ?channel?, end users will be able to choose between the different views and angles being broadcast. All broadcasts are saved within the users profile for later viewing or editing.

The further implementation of Live Video Streaming is the Online Video Editing service which will enable users to edit the incoming video in real time using Next2Friends? online video editing tools. Users can easily mix and match content from video collections to produce a custom video production.

Kind Regards

We haven\'t finalized the agenda for San Francisco. We\'re still negotiating with one or two hotels for the venue.

The Summer San Francisco event will focus on 2 subjects:

1) Mobile Social Networking: Technology, Trends and Business Models.

2) Enterprise Social Networking (aka Business Social Networking): - This is a rapidly growing field in the SN marketplace.

Prices for attending will probably be around $1000 at the door. As usual, early registrations get additional discounts.

Exhibiting will most likely be around USD $4000 per booth space.

Speakers at the event - we are talking with now include some high profile businesses engaging in the SN space. You will also see some of the wireless carriers there. Blackberry (Research In Motion) as well as Intel employees have become huge fans of this conference. You\'ll probably see them there too. Venture Capitalists seem to flock to the SF event as well.

A Video from San Francisco 2007 is a good example of what to expect. However, we expect the attendance in San Francisco to be significantly larger than the previous event last summer.
