MySpace agreed to new safety standards, under their "Joint Statement on Key Principles of Social Networking Sites Safety". "Changes MySpace is making will help keep children on the site safer," said N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper. Those changes include everything from a public awareness campaign for parents and kids, to a 24-hour hotline to report suspicious behavior. MySpace.com recently kicked 31,000 registered sex offenders from the site.
