NY TIMES -- Aug 5 -- Friendster announced a $20 million investment round from IDG Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and Benchmark Capital.  The company has also made Richard Kimber their new CEO. Kimber was previously the regional managing director of SouthAsia for Google.  Friendster currently has 75 million users and is strongest in Asia where it gets 33 million unique visitors per month.
